BRANSON, Missouri – The Coast Guard will oversee salvage operations, coordinated by Ride the Ducks, of the sunken duck boat Stretch Duck 7, Monday morning.

The tourist boat sank into a Missouri lake, killing 17 people, including nine members of one family.

Stretch Duck 7 remains at the bottom of Table Rock Lake off of the stern of the Showboat Branson Belle.

The salvage plan includes bringing Stretch Duck 7 to the surface, taking it to shore and transporting it to a secure facility for further inspection and investigation, where the National Transportation Safety Board will maintain custody of it, the Coast Guard reports.

Salvage operations are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
