There is heavy congestion I-10 Eastbound from MM 86 to LA 1111 (Rayne) due to an accident. Please proceed with caution.
Rayne Police tell us the accident never blocked the interstate, but the traffic was backed up several miles anyway, apparently due to motorists slowing or stopping to look at the wreck.
A wrecker is on-scene now clearing the accident, police say.
