A black bear was spotted near Eunice Thursday morning off of Highway 13.
In a photo posted to Facebook, Cherie Deshotel Frey says the bear was seen just before Mel’s Quick Stop on Highway 13 near Eunice.
LDWF says the reports have come into their headquarters about the bear in the area. According to officials, black bears are usually nonaggressive, retreating animals that are harmless unless provoked.
