State Police provided updated information in their on-going investigation of an officer-involved shooting.

The incident happened yesterday at about 3 a.m., when a trooper pulled over a car and a passenger became "non-compliant" while she was talking to the driver. The trooper discharged her weapon and struck the passenger; the driver and another passenger ran away.

Today, State Police say they have arrested the driver, Jamaal K. Mire Jr., 19, of Baton Rouge. He has been booked with resisting an officer, possession of marijuana and improper driving on divided highways. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail.

The investigation into the shooting continues.
