At 11:56 PM the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident at the 4300 block of Ridge Road near Duson.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies discovered a 2005 white Nissan had left the roadway while traveling west and struck a tree.
Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as 27-year-old Skye Miller of Rayne.
Mrs. Miller was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the incident and died as a result of the crash.
