A teenager is dead following a shooting in Carencro on the Fourth of July.
The mother of the victim identified the teenager as 18-year-old Benorian Leonard.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to the shooting in the 100 block of Lindsey Circle at 11:47 p.m.
One suspect was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm.
The homicide investigation is ongoing.
