Lafayette Crime Stoppers needs the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for simple burglary.
During the early morning hours of June 17, video surveillance showed a suspect walking around the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Community Corrections Campus in the 100 block of Poydras St.
Police say the video shows the suspect flipping the breakers on an outdoor breaker box, then eventually breaking a window to a classroom and entering a building.
Once inside, a vending machine was pried open, and cash was stolen, according to police.
Police say the suspect appears walks with a slight limp as he steps with his right leg.
