United Blood Services is preparing to hold their 10th annual Race Against the Clock Marathon blood drive event.
UBS says that the two-day blood drive is necessary to create a secure blood supply for the summer months which they say often experience a more than 20 percent decline in donations.
The drive will be held on Thursday, July 12 from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and will continue on Friday, July 13 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the UBS offices located at 1503 Bertrand Drive in Lafayette.
UBS says donors will receive an event t-shirt, a pint of Blue Bell ice cream, a Cycle Bar Free Class Coupon, and a $10 Amazon gift card following their donation.
Donors could also win one of 17 grand prizes. Among other prizes:
$2,100 in various gift cards

Bose Portable Speaker
Apple Air Pods
Amazon Firestick & Echo
Bass Pro Shop Cooker
