Calcasieu Parish deputies are investigating the death of a local man this morning.
Deputies were called to a one-vehicle accident at about 1 a.m. It was at the intersection of Highway 90 and Jones Road. The car was headed westbound. State Troopers first arrived on the scene and found some people trying to help the driver of the car, Dorian Colston, 21.
Colston had been shot several times. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It is believed he was shot while in his car, then drove the car a short distance and crashed into a tree.
Colston was driving a red 2000 4-door Buick Regal Sedan.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in solving this homicide. If anyone has any information, please call CPSO at (337) 491-3605. Anyone withholding information regarding this homicide may face charges.
