In Broussard, eight junior members of theDisabled American Veterans Auxiliary were honored Tuesday night for their work with the organization.
The junior members cleaned parks, put flags on soldiers’ graves, and volunteered at the local VA clinic throughout the year to earn the recognition.
The organization says it is open to children and teens looking to help serve area veterans.
