A person of interest in connection with a bike theft last week is now in custody.
With assistance from the Delcambre Police Department, New Iberia police arrested Tre James Landry on a warrant out of Lafayette.
The theft in question caught the attention of hundreds because the bike belonged to a man named Mike Boudreaux who is well-known among Delcambre.
The Little Ladies Society, a local nonprofit, heard the news and surprised "Mike" with a new bike.
Delcambre police say Landry was also wanted for multiple thefts in the town.
Landry was turned over to the Delcambre Police Department and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
Police say Mike’s old bike has not been recovered.
