UPDATE: Child found safe inside car

UPDATE:  The child has been found safe.  State police say the car was found in New Orleans with the child still inside.  An arrest has been made, the suspect has not been identified.  Stay with KATC.com for more updates.

The Louisiana State Police has activated the Louisiana AMBER Alert plan on behalf of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for 9-month-old Liam Jamil Allen, who is believed to have been abducted. Liam Jamil Allen was last seen on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Calvary Pentecostal Church located at 12310 East Hwy 90 in Jeanerette, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, when the vehicle in which he was sleeping was stolen.

Liam was abducted around 11:05 p.m. when an unknown white male approached the vehicle and fled the scene. The white male suspect is described as having a slender build and light colored hair with a receding hairline and ponytail. He was wearing white shorts and Nike tennis shoes.

The vehicle is a white 2002 4-door Nissan Altima bearing Louisiana license plate 191CFG. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Hwy 90 service road towards Canal Street in Jeanerette.

Liam Allen is believed to be in imminent danger and is described as a 9-month-old bi-racial male infant with short curly black hair. He is approximately 24” tall and weighs about 26 pounds. He was last seen wearing a peach and white striped “onesie” (photo attached).
