The public’s help is needed in locating a UL student.

Caitlyn Chase was last seen leaving her UL Lafayette dorm room Monday morning walking towards her car, according to police. Her car is still in the parking lot and her phone is in her room. There is no activity on her social media accounts and bank account, according to her father.

Her car was opened today, to look for clues. Her father didn’t find any leads in the car. He said he has learned that she’s been calling and texting a number constantly since June 12, but that number has blocked him now.

Bryan Chase said he wanted his daughter to know that her parents love her.

Chase said his daughter, who just finished her freshman year in the Digital Animation program at UL, is an artist and plays the trombone in the UL band.

"Just contact us and let us know you’re OK," a tearful Bryan Chase said. "If this is what you want, I’m fine with that. I just want to know you’re healthy and alive. That’s all i want to know."

She was supposed to leave on vacation with family today, stated her father.

Lamar Advertising will be running a digital billboard with her photo and information to alert the public.

If anyone has information on Caitlyn Chase contact UL Police at 337-482-6447.
