Police were contacted by the family of a student in reference to a welfare concern, according to Lt. Billy Abrams, spokesman for the UL Police Department.

Caitlyn Chase was last seen leaving her UL Lafayette dorm room Monday morning walking toward her car, according to police. Her car is still in the parking lot and her phone is in her room, according to the family.

There seems to be no foul play and as of right now police are treating the case as a welfare concern and not a missing person, said Abrams.

Contact UL Police at 337-482-6447 if you have any information on Chase.
