The Lafayette Police Department will be conducting an OWI Checkpoint on Friday, June 29, within the incorporated limits of Lafayette.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substance. Officers working the checkpoint will respond with zero tolerance to those drivers found to be under the influence.

In addition to the checkpoint, the Lafayette Police Department will be conducting saturation patrols for the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign during the July 4th holiday. This campaign will be conducted from Friday, June 29 thru July 5, 2018.  Special emphasis will be placed on drivers that are impaired while driving.

Designate a driver if you intend to drink.
