Several calls have been made to KATC about a situation on Main Street in Franklin Monday night.
At around 9:00 p.m. on Facebook, the Franklin Police Department reported that they, along with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office are executing a search warrant.
Officials say that search warrant was issued in the 300 block of Main Street and officers are currently in that area. At this time Main Street is blocked off in this area.
It is unclear what the search warrant may be for but witnesses tell KATC that law enforcement in tactical gear were seen around the area.
