An employee at the Jennings Walmart was booked Friday in connection with a bomb threat that emptied the store on Thursday.

Jennings Police were called to the store after an employee found "bomb in the store" scrawled on the wall of a restroom. They evacuated the store and searched it, and no bomb was found. Patrons and employees were allowed to return to the store about an hour later, police said.

It turns out that the employee who alerted management to the threat, Tyler Lantier, 25, of Estherwood, is now accused of writing the threat.

Chief Danny Semmes said Lantier was booked with terrorizing.

Lantier alleged confessed to writing the threat; he also said he didn’t try to make a bomb. No word yet on why he made the threat.

Records at the Jeff Davis Parish Jail show Lantier posted a $5,000 bond and was released shortly after noon on Friday.
