Motorists passing by Laura’s II this morning might have had a scare – but it’s OK. The iconic north Lafayette restaurant is not on fire.
Firefighters were called to the restaurant this morning after some grease began smoking, a spokesman said. But everything was under control by the time they arrived, the spokesman said.
