Youngsville Police are investigating vehicle burglaries and one theft where suspects shot through windows.
The incidents happened in Youngsville overnight in the Copperfield Way area, according to Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux. The vehicle that was stolen was later recovered by Rayne Police following a foot pursuit with a suspect who got away, said Boudreaux. The other two vehicles had random items stolen.
Viewer submitted video caught the sound of gunshots around 12:45 am.
Last week, suspects used gunfire to break into two vehicles in Lafayette, according to police.
