Opelousas Police have arrested a man in connection with a May shooting.
Derek Thomas, 28, has been identified as a suspect in the shooting since it happened. He was arrested today and booked with two counts of attempted second-degree murder.
The incident happened on May 3 on Mouton Street. A woman was shot and severely wounded; police said it was related to drugs.
Patrick Lewis, 30, was arrested shortly after the shooting. Police say he is Thomas’ brother.
