The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a second fire in Gueydan in 48 hours.
First responders arrived on scene of a shed fire in the 1200 block of Main Street around 3:30 a.m. this morning. A spokeswoman with the State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire was minor.
No injuries were reported.
On Friday night, the State Fire Marshal’s Office was called to investigate a heavy fire at a former convenience store at the corner of 13th Street and Main Street.
The spokeswoman says there is no indication that the two fires are related at this time.
