In Scott, mayors from all across Acadiana met Wednesday evening for the Louisiana Municipal Association’s District F meeting.
During the meeting, lawmakers discussed what’s been happening during the special sessions as well as legislation they would like to see taken up next year.
"LMA gets involved and gets behind the right type of legislation to help a community, and if it’s not something to help then we get on the other side and make sure that it doesn’t happen. So that way we can continue to grow our communities and make sure none of our cities, towns, or villages suffer," said Scott Mayor Purvis Morrison.
Morrison is the LMA Vice-President. LMA District F represents five parishes and 37 municipalities.
