Aguillard receives “above average” score from LPSB evaluation

The Lafayette Parish School Board recently conducted its evaluation of superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard for the 2017-18 school year. The evaluation, which is completed annually for superintendents, gave Aguillard a score of 2.65 out of a possible four placing him in the "above average" category, according to LPSS. 

Any score higher than 2.0 is considered to be satisfactory and outstanding performance levels, according to LPSS. 

Members of the school board scored Aguillard on performance in eight separate categories. LPSS says that board members could have awarded Aguillard a number value from 0 to 4 in each category. 

The categories and their overall scores were as follows:

Educational Program and Planning: 2.5
Relationship with the Board: 2.7
Relationship with Personnel: 2.2
Business and Financial Management: 2.8
Community Relations: 3.0
Individual Characteristics: 2.8
Job Related Characteristics: 2.9
Specific Performance Objectives: 2.4

Aguillard received an overall score of 2.65 out of 4 based on the board’s rubric. At Wednesday’s regular board meeting the board discussed the evaluations with Aguillard.
