LCG and the Acadiana Planning Commission will soon decide what plan they will use to revitalize the Four Corners Corridor.

The proposed designs were on display tonight during a public meeting at Bridge Ministries. The plans also target areas beyond the Cameron Street and University Avenue intersection.

"My hope is that we’re going to get Four Corners revitalized, make it an attraction again so that people will want to come and experience what they have to offer, and then we’ll finish out the corridor all the way out to I-10."

According to LCG, the purpose of the University Avenue corridor study is to identify opportunities to improve the transportation efficiency and mobility options of the corridor, as well as enhance its potential for economic revitalization. The project aims to unify planning along the state highway by bringing together various efforts to identify implementation steps to happen over the next few years.

The meeting was open to the public.
