The Crowley Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a weekend shooting in the city.

The department says that officers responded to the 200 block of Westwood Drive after a vehicle was shot at multiple times. Two of the four passengers inside the vehicle were struck as a result of the gunfire.

The victims of the shooting told police they knew the shooter and allegedly identified him as 29-year-old Traylon Lewis. Police say that several other witnesses came forward during the investigation and identified Lewis as the shooter. According to police, witnesses said that Lewis was driving a dark gray Chrysler 300 and allegedly fired a gun from his vehicle.

Police say the patrol division apprehended Lewis within an hour of receiving a warrant for his arrest.

Lewis was arrested and booked on four counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and is currently at the Acadia Parish Jail. Bond has been set at $200,000.
