Acadia Sheriff’s deputies recovered more than $250,000 in stolen vehicles and equipment during a raid yesterday.
Deputies served a search warrant on the Sidney Richard Road property of Charles Prather Jr., 57.
They recovered 10 vehicles and trailers, a stolen tractor and a stolen motorcycle, Sheriff KP Gibson said. Another search warrant was executed at a home on Stewartville Road, and three more stolen vehicles were recovered there, he said.
In all, deputies recovered seven vehicles, four cargo/utility trailers, one John Deere tractor and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were recovered. Most of these items have been reported stolen outside of Acadia Parish, Gibson said.
Prather was booked on 13 counts of possession of stolen property. His bond has been set at $165,000.
