Thibodaux Police arrested a local man last night when they found him stuck on top of a 30-foot fence.

Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue said Mark Wright, 39, was booked with Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business (Felony), on a Thibodaux City Court Warrant for Failing to Appear on a Theft Charge, and a Probation & Parole Hold.

At about 10:44 p.m. last night, the Thibodaux Police Department received a call of a man stuck on a fence, near the rear of a business located in the 1500 block of Canal Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they allegedly found Wright straddling the wall to the warehouse. They got some help from the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department and were able to reach Wright by using a fire truck. Wright was safely brought to the ground without incident.

But officers then reviewed surveillance footage and found that Wright allegedly entered the property by forcing his way through a locked gate. Wright then made his way toward the rear of the property, where he allegedly scaled the wall and got stuck.

Wright was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. His bail on the FTA and unauthorized entry charges is $15,000, but he also has a no-bond hold placed by Probation & Parole, the chief said.
