On Tuesday, Lafayette Consolidated Government and the Acadiana Planning Commision will hold the final of three public meetings for the University Avenue corridor study.

The final meeting will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bridge Ministry of Acadiana and will cover the proposed design options and corridor features for University Avenue. Those who attend will be able to provide feedback on draft plan recommendations for the corridor.

At Tuesday’s meeting, LCG says that attendees will be able to view final concepts and projects proposed by CSRS, the consulting firm hired to conduct the planning study. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions regarding the University Ave corridor project and present project timelines and implementation.

According to LCG, the purpose of the University Avenue corridor study is to identify opportunities to improve the transportation efficiency and mobility options of the corridor, as well as enhance its potential for economic revitalization. The project aims to unify planning along the state highway by bringing together various efforts to identify implementation steps to happen over the next few years.

The meeting is open to the public.
