St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a fourth suspect in connection with a high-speed chase on Thursday.

Twenty-three-year-old Clarence Woods was reported missing by family members; they say he was last seen on Thursday, wearing a black shirt, red shorts, a red bandana and had a backpack.

Deputies believe he was the fourth passenger involved in a chase that took authorities from Jeanerette to Franklin, later ending in a crash in Burns Point.

Deputies assisted the Franklin Police Department in the pursuit of the vehicle that was being sought by the Jeanerette Police Department.

Jeanerette City Marshal Fernest Marshall says the suspects were involved in an attempted carjacking at a local business earlier that day. Shots were fired, but no injuries were reported, he said.

Following the crash, the suspects ran away, and authorities continued to search the area of Burns Point.

Three suspects were later arrested in connection with the incident: Courtland Fullwood, 30, of Morgan City, Darian Bridget, 23, of Patterson, and Kurwin Webb, Jr., 24, of Morgan City.

All three were booked into the park jail.

Bridget and Webb were booked on charges of aggravated flight from an officer and resisting arrest. Fullwood was booked on those charges as well as charges from several other active warrants.

Deputies are continuing to search the Burns Point area.

If you know the whereabouts of Woods, please call the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-384-1722 or 337-828-1960, or your local law enforcement agency.
