The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office says that three suspects have been captured in connection with Thursday’s vehicle pursuit in the parish.

Police say they have arrested 30-year-old Courtland Fullwood of Morgan City, 23-year-old Darian Bridget of Patterson, and 24-year-old Kurwin Webb, Jr. of Morgan City in connection with the pursuit.

Deputies say they assisted the Franklin Police Department in the pursuit of a vehicle that was being sought by the Jeanerette Police Department. The vehicle, according to deputies, was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the pursuit and led deputies from Franklin to Burns Point.

In Burns Point, deputies say the vehicle crashed and the suspects fled on foot.

After an investigation, Fullwood, Bridget and Webb were found and deputies allegedly uncovered evidence that the three were occupying the vehicle during the pursuit.

Deputies say that Fullwood was also wanted on active warrants for his arrest.

The three suspects were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

The Jeanerette Marshall’s Office reported yesterday that the suspects were wanted in connection with an attempted carjacking and shooting at a local business. No one was injured. Read that story here.
