CNN: Award-winning chef Anthony Bourdain dead in apparent suicide

According to CNN, award-winning celebrity chef and writer Anthony Bourdain has died. He was 61.

CNN says they confirmed Bourdain’s on Friday and that the cause of death was suicide. 

The network says that Bourdain was in France working on an upcoming series for CNN and was found unresponsive in his hotel room by a friend. 

Bourdain was in Lafayette in February filming an episode of his CNN produced show "Parts Unknown."
