Opelousas Police arrested a local man after an incident last week.
Marcus Walker, 29, was booked with simple kidnapping, domestic abuse battery by strangulation and aggravated criminal damage to property.
He’s accused of beating the woman, then taking her vehicle while she was in it, and continuing to beat her. She called police and after an investigation, warrants were issued for Walker’s arrest.
He was located today and booked into the parish jail.
