A special "Mass for Protection during Hurricane & Storm Season" is underway at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette this evening.
The Mass for Protection is sponsored by the Cathedral and supported by the Central Deanery and the Diocese of Lafayette.
This Mass is open to the public and provides an area-wide opportunity for prayer and awareness at the start of Hurricane Season, which runs June 1-November 30, 2018.
