The City of Youngsville will hold its Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, June 9.
The event will be held from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Youngsville Public Works at 310 Railroad Avenue.
The service is available for residents of within the city limits of Youngsville to discard household hazardous waste items.
These items include:
- Latex and oil-based paints and stains
- Poison solids and liquids (pesticides and herbicides)
- aerosols
- acid and base corrosives
- pool chemicals
- organic chlorinating solids
- lithium batteries
- alkaline batteries
- fluorescent tubes and bulbs
- mercury thermometers

Lafayette Consolidated Government has recently rescheduled their Household Hazardous Waste Day for Saturday, June 16 at Cajun Field from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
