The Lafayette Police Department says they are investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend in Lafayette.
Police say the shooting occurred in the 1100 block of W. Gilman Road. One woman was injured during the shooting. According to police, the woman was shot after several unknown suspects fired in the direction of the parked vehicle she was occupying.
Police say the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing and there are no suspects at this time.
