According to DOTD, all lanes are now open on I-10 East at LA 1 (Port Allen) following bridge maintenance operations.
The roadwork began Friday on the Mississippi River Bridge eastbound as it approached the Port Allen exit in West Baton Rouge Parish.
This work, according to officials, was necessary in order to fix the failing approach to the bridge on the west bank and required the left lane to be closed while work is being done. This is the second weekend for the repairs.
On the weekend of May 25, the inside lane was repaired. This weekend’s work was to repair the outside lane.
There is currently no traffic congestion according to DOTD
