As part of National Painting Week, a group of employees for the Lafayette Sherwin Williams stores are spent their Friday evening adding a new coat of paint to the building.
The Boys and Girls Club on Pinhook, which was once a prison, was cleaned and refreshed. spruced up with freshly painted blue cabinets and a clean coat of white for the walls.
Crews worked on the homework room of the building. They also made some repairs where the walls had been damaged.
Saturday, the group traveled to Vermilion Parish to do the same for the Boys and Girls club location there, too. Cabinets were spruced up with fresh blue paint while the walls received a clean coat of white.
All paint used in the project was donated.
