Detectives are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon in Opelousas.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 100 block of Cimmaron Drive at 2:55 p.m. in reference to two women fighting, according to a spokesman for the sheriff’s office. Several calls were made to the sheriff’s office stating that shots were fired and a victim was being transported to a hospital in a personal vehicle, stated detectives. Reports indicate that suspects also used a stun gun on another victim
Detectives are still interviewing witnesses.
