On Thursday, J Wallace James will have over 20 summer camp representatives for a workshop and an information session. The event will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The event is open to the public and parents will be able to sign their children up for camp on spot. You can find out what your children can do while you’re at work, if there are any camps that focus on art and stem, and how much they cost.

There will also be a food truck at the school for lunch.

4th and 5th-grade counselor, Sonia Hartley, said she just wants the students to have something to do over the summer so they are ready to come back to school in August.

"We just want our parents to be aware of what opportunities are available for the summer. And things that will keep the kids learning and keep the kids ready for school when they come back in August," Hartley said.
