A man accused of being a serial bank robbery has been arrested in Monroe.

Terry Madison III was arrested for his alleged involvement in multiple bank robberies spanning across several states, according to FBI New Orleans Field Office Special Agent in Charge Eric Rommal.

Federal and state arrest warrants from both Louisiana and Mississippi allege Madison is responsible for several Walmart bank and money center robberies.

Madison is alleged to have robbed a Walmart money center in Hammond on April 14, 2018, a Walmart money center in Picayune, Mississippi on May 2, 2018, as well as the Woodforest National Bank located inside of the Waveland, Mississippi Walmart on May 2, 2018.

Madison, a resident of Orleans Parish, was taken into custody on Sunday, May 20, 2018, in Monroe by the Monroe Police Department. He was then transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center for processing, according to Rommal.

Madison was charged with Hobbs Act Robbery (extortion by force, violence, or fear). Additional federal and state charges may be forthcoming, added Rommal.

This investigation was jointly coordinated by the FBI New Orleans Violent Crime Task Force and FBI Jackson, Gulfport Resident Agency.
