St. Mary Boulevard to close Tuesday on campus

Gov. John Bel Edwards’ address Tuesday at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will affect traffic on campus.

St. Mary Boulevard between Hebrard Boulevard and McKinley Street will be closed to motorists in both directions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bicycle lanes will remain open. Motorists can access public parking for the address using McKinley Street or Girard Park Circle.

Edwards will mark the start of a special legislative session with his “Our Louisiana” speech at 1 p.m. at the historic Earl K. Long Gymnasium, 500 E. St. Mary Blvd.

The public may attend and is encouraged to RSVP at gov.louisiana.gov/ourlouisiana.
