A Lafayette man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend.
A jury on Tuesday unanimously convicted 29-year-old Miles Guidry of second-degree murder today in the 2015 death of Claire Walley.
Evidence showed that Guidry slashed Walley’s neck, stabbing her multiple times in their home in the 400 block of Lagneaux Road in Duson. Walley was a graduate student in the Psychology Department at UL Lafayette at the time of her death.
Guidry fled to Colorado after the murder. He faces a mandatory life sentence
