The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will begin construction on a $630,000 project in Vermilion Parish.
The project will include milling asphalt pavement, base course rehabilitation, asphaltic concrete overlay and related work on LA 3172 (Pumping Plant Road) from LA 694 to LA 335.
The work is estimated to take place daily starting May 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 10-foot width restriction for the duration of this project.
The project is estimated for completion in late Summer of 2018.
DOTD reminds drivers to use caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
