The St. Landry Parish School Board has extended the contract for Superintendent Patrick Jenkins.
Thursday night at the meeting, members voted to extend his contract through 2020.
"I’m very appreciative of the board members for having confidence in me to extend this contract. I look forward to continue the work that we’ve done thus far over the last last year and a half or so. And I’m excited to be able to move St. Landry Parish forward and continue the initiatives that we’ve begun," Jenkins said of the extension.
The board also voted once again to reject a proposed charter for a french immersion school proposed for the old Sunset High School campus.
