Faith House announced that it will once again host its summer program for teen girls entitled, "Love Is…"

The program is open for teen girls ages 11 to 17 and will focus on education in the healthier aspects of dating and teach girls the warning signs of dating violence. The program will follow "Safe Dates" curriculum which Faith House says is nationally-acclaimed and evidence-based. The three-day summer camp is free to attend and will include a free lunch each day to those who attend.

The four goals of the program according to Fatih House are dedicated to:

(1) Changing adolescent dating violence and gender-role norms.
(2) Improving peer help-giving and dating conflict-resolution skills.
(3) Promoting the need for victims and perpetrators to seek help through community resources.
(4) Decreasing dating abuse victimization and perpetration.

The program will be held in three parishes during the months of June and July. Those place and dates are as follows:

Lafayette Parish: June 12st-14th at Golden Corral in Lafayette, La  (9am-12pm)

Vermilion Parish: June 26th-28th at Vermilion Parish Library Abbeville, La (9am-1pm)

St. Landry Parish: July 23th- 25th at Evangeline Downs Hotel (9am-1pm)
