The Acadia Parish School Board says that the deadline to submit applications for Superintendent of Schools has passed.
Board officials are currently going through the process of evaluating all seven candidates who have applied for the position to be sure they are qualified. The hiring process will be outlined during the boards next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, May 7.
That meeting will begin at 5:30 pm.
First-round interviews are scheduled to begin on May 17.
