Hashtag Con is headed to the Cajundome this Memorial Day Weekend.
The event which labels itself the "Unconventional Convention" celebrates eSports, gaming, and Cosplay. Starting May 26, through the 27, 2018, the Cajundome will host the convention which will feature the first ever large-scale Fortnite eSports $10,000 Prize Arena Tournament along with other console gaming contests. 1,000 gamers will be chosen to compete in the Fortnite tournament.
The competition will happen live at the venue. A collegiate battle between the eSports titans at LSU and University of Louisiana at Lafayette will also be held during the half-time of the Tournament.
Fortnite according to its creator Epic Games is a cooperative survival game with construction elements focusing on last-man-standing gameplay. It was released in 2017.
The Cajundome say the tournament will feature a 2-day competitor and spectator event that will bring together a diverse group of game enthusiasts, exhibitors, and fans.
A general admission day pass is $24.50, while weekend passes go for $34.50. Special passes for gamers are 60.00 for the weekend. You can purchase those tickets here.

The Cajun Heartland State Fair will also be taking place at the Cajundome/ Canjunfeild location for Memorial Day weekend and will continue on through June 3, 2018.
