A French language youth chorale from Moncton, Les Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie, visited the Acadian Memorial today.
The group is marking its 50th anniversary and part of their celebration was a visit to their Cajun cousins in Louisiana.
Today, they visited the Acadian Memorial and then performed at Saint Martin de Tours Catholic Church.
Also during their visit, the choir visited Myrtle Place Elementary, one of Lafayette’s French Immersion schools, and performed at Randol’s and Festival.
Tomorrow, they will attend High Mass at St. John’s Catherdal and will perform at 1:45 p.m. at Festival’s Scène des Jeunes.
A documentary film crew from Radio Canada is following Les Jeunes Chanteurs for a television documentary to be in in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the group.
