It’s officially Festival International weekend, which means festivities are going on all day in downtown Lafayette, and you’ll most probably be able to find something to enjoy.

Musical groups from all over the world will be performing throughout the day with the last performance ending at 10 p.m.

Festival also caters to the kids. At Scène des Jeunes, located on Cathedral-Carmel’s campus, you’ll find dancing, arts and crafts, and face painting. Be mindful those activities wrap up late afternoon.

For a quieter experience, check out Cité des Arts. A Wonderland Performing Arts teamed up with Festival International for Zombie Prom, which they describe as a "girl-loves-ghoul rock and roll Off-Broadway musical." Saturday’s performances are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and there will be a 2 p.m. performance on Sunday. Click here for tickets.

If you’re looking for transportation to and from the festival, you can park for free at Cajun Field where a shuttle takes you downtown. Don’t forget: the last bus leaves downtown for Cajun Field at 10:30 p.m.
