ACADIA PARISH
Voters in Fire Protection District No. 4 granted the renewal of an 8.07-mill property tax for 10 years.
The tax raises about $649,635 annually and is dedicated to acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating fire protection facilities and equipment in and for the District, and paying the cost of obtaining water for fire protection purposes.
The renewal passed 81 percent to 19 percent.
